Benches and moving coil metalloscopes

The MPI horizontal units with moving coil cover range of applications and unmatched flexibility. These systems are designed for maximum probability of detection on elongated ferromagnetic workpieces of all sizes.

Versatile applications: TemaFlux magnetic benches are the best tools for the analysis of a diverse range of ferromagnetic components, in particular steel and cast iron, including stamped, forged, cast, or machined parts.

Their ability to accurately identify cracks, breakages, rolling imperfections, welding defects and other problems makes them indispensable in industries such as the steel, automotive, aviation, rail, shipbuilding and chemical sectors.

Toughness and reliability: solid and reliable, are designed to operate effectively even in the most demanding environments, such as foundries, forges, steel mills and mechanical workshops. Being entirely produced in Italy, they offer a guarantee of superior quality.

Motorized moving coil: the coil can be moved manually or by means of gearmotors. The engine can be man-operated or fully automatic. We build systems with a moving coil or with the possibility of being moved in all directions, x, y and z.

Precise adjustment: the power calibration for the test is based on the expected magnetizing current intensity (measured in Amperes), thus ensuring safe and reliable procedures. This adjustment process is significantly simpler than traditional magnetic pallets, which required complex adjustments through the use of standard potentiometers.

Automation of the presetting: the most advanced systems allow the setting of the testing parameters completely automatically starting from p/n, including the adjustment of the distance between the contact heads.

Automation of the testing: the most advanced systems allow the fully automatic conducting of the entire test, starting from the closing of the heads, to the supply of current up to the spraying of the liquid; the movement of the coil can also be done fully automatically. All that remains is to inspect the workpiece.

Automation of demagnetization: the most advanced systems allow the fully automatic conducting of the demagnetization cycle, either by passing current through the workpiece or through the coil, with appropriate movement cycles and current delivery at decreasing intensity.

Interconnection: our generators are equipped with a remote connection system for remote diagnostics.

Ideal for elongated components: the yoke coil system is particularly suitable for inspection of components with medium-high L/D ratios that are difficult to inspect with yoke closure systems.

Advanced aerospace systems: we produce advanced systems with AC, HWDC, FWDC and three-phase FWDC delivery with Quick Break systems. Our systems are used by leading Italian aircraft component manufacturers with NADCAP accreditation.

Service and support: TemaFlux’s highly qualified technical staff offers a complete service, which includes repair, overhaul and certification of any bench or trolley equipment, regardless of the manufacturer.

The moving coil magnetic benches are made with three basic configurations, which are then customized according to the clients’ needs:

• Horizontal sliding moving coil, resting on the machine base
• Moving coil with horizontal sliding, suspended and supported in cantilever from the back of the system
• Moving coil with X, Y and Z movement
